Charlie Smith and Brendon Bennett were part of the East Coast Icicles team that swam the channel as part of a relay on Friday 1st September. Charlie and Brendon joined friends and fellow swimmers Alfie Glendinning, Will Johnson, Ollie Pick and Minnie Wayman to make up the team. They had done a huge amount of preparation for their swim and weather conditions had postponed it a couple of times. They planned to do the swim in between 12 and 18 hours but set of at a tremendous pace finishing in only 10 hours and 16 minutes. See the attached links for more information:-
