Felixstowe had the honour of hosting the second round of the Summer League and this took place on Saturday 10th June. on the night we raced against Halstead, Deben Black, Stowmarket and Newmarket.
The races were reversed from round 1 so those swimming in the 11/u and 13/u swam 50m races while the 12/u and 14/u age groups swam 100m instead. The youngest 10/u age group also swam 50m races.
Our swimmers all performed brilliantly and there were lots of PBs as well as heat wins. Those winning hears included Lewis Meadows (x3), Beth Young (x2), Eloise Albins and Henry Todd so it certainly looks like some of our younger swimmers were leading the way.
At the end of the gala there were 5 mixed relays, one for each age group. Medleys were swam by the 10/u, 12/u and 14/u age groups and Free relays by the 11/u and 13/u age groups. Unfortunately our youngest team were disqualified but the 11 year olds came 2nd, the 12 year olds came 3rd, the 13 year olds came 4th and the 14 year olds came 3rd.
