What a weekend!!
I’m certain everyone that took part this weekend whether swimming or helping poolside is absolutely exhausted! – we had a fabulous time. Our swimmers gave everything they had and came away with proud faces, PBs, County/Regional qualifying times, final places and medals.
We kicked the morning off with session 4, our line up for the morning included: Bethany, Eloise, Lewis, Fin, Tom, Beth, Jess and Mia Y who were competing in the 100M butterfly (Bethany, Eloise), 50m Breaststroke (Lewis, Fin, Tom), 50m Backstroke (Bethany, Beth, Jess and Mia Y), 400m IM (Tom) and the 200m IM (Bethany, Beth, Mia).
Our swimmers did fantastically with Bethany and Eloise making the 100m Fly finals, Tom making the 50m Breast finals, Beth making the 100m Breast finals. The 400m and 200m IM events were heat declared winners (so no finals).
During session 4, our swimmers achieved 7 PBs, 8 County times for next year and 3 Regional qualifying times – well done all of you.
A swift lunch break and we were soon onto session 5 – our swimmers during the afternoon were: Bethany, Beth, Lewis, Tom, Jess and Mia Y. A shorter session but packed with great swimming, our 6 managed to achieve: 6 PBs, 5 County times for next year and 4 Regional qualifying times – Lewis, Tom and Beth reached the finals for the 100m Back (Lewis and Tom) and 100m Breast (Beth), and to top the weekend – Beth Y brought home the gold medal in her age group for the 100m Breaststroke – Fabulous swimming Beth!
