Several of our swimmers took to their bikes during the Christmas/New Year period. The ride started from the Leisure Centre and the route took them from Felixstowe to Woodbridge via Trimley, Bucklesham, Newbourne and Martlesham and then back again. The distance was just short of 30 miles and our intrepid cyclists were Thomas Boyt, Stuart Evans, Sam Davies and Thomas Walker. They were led by Head Coach David and accompanied by Thomas Walker’s uncle as well. Mark Evans was on hand for any running repairs and recovery.
The cyclists were spotted as they passed through Bucklesham. At that time Stuart and Thomas were leading the way, rather than David and rumour has it that Mark was later called on to recover David and his bike. Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves so maybe this will be a regular event for the future?
